Lemon DietThe lemon diet or lemonade diet as it is called is based on a quick 10-day diet whose special ingredient is lemonade. lemon diet is also considered a method of detoxifying the body.

It is a quick weight loss diet, a great detoxification program and it is adopted by those wishing to lose extra pounds quickly. The thought of lemon stimulating metabolism and is effective in burning fat, stimulates more people to keep it fast diet.

 Here is the recipe for a special lemonade that you need to drink daily in lemon diet:

  • 6 big glasses with water (200ml/ glass)

  • 12 tablespoons with organic maple syrup (or 2 tablespoons to a cup).
  • 12 tablespoons of freshly squeezed organic lemon juice (or 2 tablespoons to a cup).
  • a quarter teaspoon of cayenne pepper (1 / 10 teaspoon in a glass).

Lemon diet, or detox regime, recommend drinking salt water, meaning 2 tablespoons of salt mixed in a quart of water consumed in the morning and laxative tea at night. Laxative tea may be necessary due to lack of fiber in your diet, which can lead to constipation.

No solid food allowed! After having this lemon diet, which can take between 4 and 14 days, dieters must enter in eating solid foods, starting with soup, followed by fruits and vegetables.

Lemons and limes contain compounds called flavonoids that have antioxidant properties and the wonderful help to prevent or fight cancer. It was proved that these flavonoids stop the cellular division in many lines of cancer cells, but are also useful by their antibiotic effect. Lemons contain vitamin C which neutralize free radicals and help immune system.

 Beware of lemon peel! Avoid using lemon peel in various networks because they may contain residue, wax, bacteria and pesticides. Use only organically grown lemon.
